Importance of Filter Replacement
Filters play a critical role in the reliable operation of VESDA detectors. They remove dust and airborne contaminants from sampled air, ensuring clean airflow to protect the sensitive optical components within the detection chamber. To maintain peak performance and detection accuracy, filters must be replaced at regular intervals.
For VESDA VLC, VLS, VLP, and VLF detectors, filter replacement is recommended every two years to preserve system integrity. In environments with high dust levels or contamination, more frequent replacement may be required. Filter Replacement Guidance
