An EVCS is a fixed, secure, bi-directional, full duplex voice communication system to assist fire fighters and management during emergencies in high rise buildings or large sites where radio communication cannot be guaranteed to work due to interference from the fire plasma.
The ViLX-OSB is a type B outstation exclusively for use as part of a disabled refuge system, it’s fully compatible with the Lexicomm standalone and network systems.
The outstation is constructed from injection moulded green polycarbonate with stainless frontplate and features a green flashing button to aid location. Operation is via a single call/cancel button, pressing it once activates the call, a second press cancels the call.
The outstation should be installed in the disabled refuge area which is usually located in a protected stairwell/ stair lobby
