The Ad-NeT network system enables all MxPro 5 series control panels, remote terminals, and network peripherals to be interconnected using standard fire-resistant two-core cabling. This system combines the advantages of distributed intelligence with lower installation costs, supporting configurations from a simple two-panel setup to a wide-area network of up to 200 panels. Operating as a true peer-to-peer network, Ad-NeT allows data from any input or output device to be shared across the system, ensuring that information can be viewed and controlled from any MxPro 5 control panel or remote terminal. Adding a device to the network is straightforward—simply install and connect a network card to any control panel or terminal. Once assigned a valid network node address, the new device is automatically recognized by all others on the network, allowing for easy expansion at any time. Each panel also includes a built-in network analyser for diagnostic and status monitoring, along with options to suppress fire or fault signals during commissioning.
For more advanced configurations, the PC-NeT Mx software (Windows-based) provides powerful programming tools. These include sector-based control for Mute, Silence, Resound, and Reset keys, as well as investigation delays, group disablement, and test routines. Panels within a sector share common controls, and each device can be programmed to display specific zonal information. The system’s cause-and-effect logic allows any input to activate any output on any panel across the network.
