Apollo Discovery Marine Manual Call Point

The Discovery Marine Manual Call Point (MCP) is based on the KAC conventional MCP range and is fully electronically and mechanically compatible with previous Apollo call points derived from KAC’s World Series products. Each call point is assigned its address during commissioning using a seven-segment DIL switch.
When activated, the MCP interrupts the normal communication protocol to ensure a rapid response. A bi-coloured alarm LED is provided on the device, controlled independently by the control panel. The LED can be set to flash during polling, while the red LED illuminates when the call point is activated and placed in alarm.
For isolated versions, an amber/yellow LED indicates a short-circuit on the loop wiring either side of the call point. MCPs can also be tested remotely from the panel via a single-bit communication command. When tested, the call point transmits a value of 64, corresponding to the alarm state, which the panel recognises as a test signal rather than an actual alarm.
