The Apollo Marine DIN-Rail Zone Monitor provides power and control for a zone of up to 20 conventional fire detectors, interfacing seamlessly with a loop of XP95 addressable detectors and ancillary devices.
Operation
The unit must be installed within a suitable enclosure and secured with end stops (part no. 27447-528 or equivalent). Factory-preconfigured, the monitor returns an analogue value of 16 when all detectors are in a quiescent state and 64 when a detector enters the alarm state. The unit latches when an alarm is triggered.
A 5.1 kΩ end-of-line resistor is used to monitor for open and short-circuit wiring faults. Alternatively, an active end-of-line monitor can be used with diode bases and a capacitor of up to 50 µF connected at the unit terminals. In either configuration, an analogue value of 4 indicates an open or short-circuit fault.
The Marine DIN-Rail Zone Monitor includes a bi-directional short-circuit isolator, ensuring that loop faults on either the input or output do not affect operation.
