The QUAD-ZMU is a fully monitored addressable module designed to interface up to four individually addressed zones of current-limited conventional detection devices with a Global Fire Addressable Control Panel via the detection loop.
The module operates using an external 24V DC power supply, indicated by a green status LED. It features Active End-of-Line Monitoring and supports compliance with BS5839 detector removal requirements when Schottky diodes are fitted to the detector bases.
Each detection zone and its supply voltage are optically isolated from the addressable loop, enabling the use of a local power source. If this external supply fails, the control panel will automatically register a fault condition.
Zone status is shown using two LEDs per zone: a red LED for fire and a yellow LED for fault, while the absence of illumination indicates normal operation.
Each zone can be programmed to function as a Zone Monitor, Flame Detector, Beam Detector, Aspirating Module, or Linear Heat Device, allowing improved identification of the alarm source.
