VULCAN 2 Addressable Base Beacon c/w Isolator

Stock Code: VULCAN2-ABI

The addressable VULCAN 2 A is available as an Addressable Beacon, which can be field-configured to operate in either SHADOW or AUXILIARY modes. Versions with an integrated loop isolator are also available. Depending on loop loading, up to 64 VULCAN 2 A Beacons can be connected to a single loop. All VULCAN 2 A devices feature DIP-switch address settings, with tone and mode selection via a jumper. A potentiometer allows adjustment of the sound level if required. The VULCAN 2 A is typically used alongside a detector, though an optional lid is available. Shadow Beacon: A Shadow Beacon does not have its own address, freeing up addresses for additional detection devices. Shadow Beacons do not report back to the control panel, so their presence on the loop is not monitored. Auxiliary Beacon: When configured as an Auxiliary Beacon, the VULCAN 2 A shares the same address as the associated detector. In this mode, it monitors the loop for commands from the control panel to the detector and activates its LED and sounder when the detector is triggered. In the event of a confirmed fire, remaining sounders can be activated using the Evacuate command. This approach provides early warning to the occupant of the affected room while minimizing disruption to other areas during false alarms. Pressing Sounder Silence at the panel will silence all active sounders. The maximum number of Auxiliary Beacons is 63, and they can be assigned to addresses 1 through 63.
