The Opal NFXI-TFIX58 and NFXI-TFIX78 are fixed-temperature analogue addressable heat sensors that use low-mass thermistors and microprocessor technology for fast response and precise linear temperature detection. Their linear characteristics allow reliable temperature signaling across the range of 58°C (Class A1S) to 78°C (Class BS).
The Opal NFXI-TDIFF employs the same thermistor and microprocessor technology to trigger an alarm when the rate of temperature rise exceeds 10°C per minute (typical) or when the temperature reaches 58°C (Response Class A1R). Using Notifier’s Opal protocol, each unit can be software-configured as a fixed 58°C detector, a fixed 78°C detector, or a 58°C detector with rate-of-rise functionality. For backward compatibility and approval continuity, all three configurations remain available as separate part numbers.
All three heat sensors feature panel-controllable sensing elements via the Opal protocol, allowing sensitivity thresholds to be adjusted based on changes in the protected environment. Each detector includes built-in short-circuit isolation and two integrated tri-colour LEDs providing 360° visual status indication. The LEDs can be programmed with static or flashing red, amber, and green indications.
