Xtralis Style E Power Supply Units (PSU)
Xtralis Style E Power Supply Units are specifically designed to complement the appearance and functionality of Xtralis aspirating smoke detectors (ASDs). Each unit is technically matched to provide sufficient current and battery charging capacity in compliance with EN 54-4, ensuring reliable detector operation and standby power. Style E variants are VdS certified and CE marked, making them suitable for installations in regions where these approvals are required.
Product Range:
1. VPS-220-E5 – 0.5A load, up to 14Ah batteries
Original unit in the range, designed to match the footprint of VESDA-E VEP, VES, VEU, and VLF detectors.
EN54-4 certified 0.5A continuous 24V DC supply while charging batteries (7Ah, 12Ah, or 14Ah).
Supports 24-hour standby plus 0.5-hour alarm operation.
Compatible with VESDA VLF-500, VESDA-E VEP, VESDA-E VES, and VESDA-E VEU (fan speed ≤5).
Convenient cable entry knockouts aligned with Xtralis detectors.
Front cover includes 2 LEDs for OK and Fault status; additional internal LED for fault diagnosis.
Non-certified mode: powers up to 1A and charges batteries up to 12Ah.
2. VPS-215-E5 – 0.5A load, up to 7Ah batteries
Budget-friendly unit for single-pipe ASD detectors requiring up to 7Ah batteries, e.g., VESDA VLF-250.
EN54-4 certified internal charger.
Internal LEDs indicate OK (output healthy) and Fault.
Simple construction with no external LEDs keeps cost low.
Lid can be inverted for flexible installation.
3. VPS-250-E5 – 3A load, up to 38Ah batteries
Designed for larger ASD units, including VESDA-E VEU (all fan speeds) and VESDA-E VEA detectors.
Suitable for multiple detector installations and/or remote displays.
EN54-4 certified charger with up to 3A output and battery capacity up to 38Ah.
Provides 4 separately fused outputs for powering multiple detectors or disparate loads.
Front cover LEDs indicate Healthy or Fault status.
Convenient knockouts for detector, display, or sub-rack cabling.
Non-certified mode: powers up to 3.4A and charges batteries up to 38Ah.
