VESDA Xtralis VPS-250-STX5 / VESDA-E STX Power Supply Unit (2A, 24Ah)
The VESDA-E Power Supply Units are purpose-designed to match both the appearance and performance requirements of VESDA-E aspirating smoke detectors (ASDs). They deliver adequate current output and battery charging capability in full compliance with EN 54-4 standards.
The STX range is VdS-certified and CE-marked to EN 54-4, making it ideal for installations in regions where these approvals are mandatory. Designed to align seamlessly with the VESDA-E detector range, STX power supplies share the same width, curved profile, and overall styling, allowing them to blend neatly into VESDA-E installations.
An integrated internal channel accommodates the detector exhaust, which is particularly beneficial when back-venting is required and the 25 mm exhaust pipe must be routed back into the protected area.
These units are available in two finishes. The standard matt black option complements black plastic VESDA-E detectors (–P variants) and contrasts effectively with extruded aluminium models. Alternatively, a grey (RAL 7047) cover is available to visually match the aluminium finish of premium VESDA-E detectors.
VPS-250-STX5 & VPS-250-STX5-SLV models support a maximum 3A load with batteries up to 24Ah. These deeper enclosures are specifically designed for use with VESDA-E VEU detectors at all fan speeds.
The internal charger is EN 54-4 certified and provides a continuous 3A, 24V DC output, with space for batteries up to 24Ah (not supplied). A non-certified operating mode is also available, allowing loads of up to 3.4A while charging batteries up to 24Ah in accordance with EN 54-4 requirements.
