VESDA VLF-250 LaserFOCUS-250 Smoke Detector with Display
The VESDA VLF-250 is a very early warning smoke detector designed to safeguard small, business-critical areas up to 250 m² (2,690 sq. ft.).
The detector continuously draws air from a pipe network into a detection chamber, where filtered air is analysed using advanced light-scattering technology to detect even very small amounts of smoke. Detector status is displayed on the unit and communicated via relays or optional interface cards.
Plug-and-Play Operation
The VLF-250 can be installed and commissioned straight out-of-the-box without requiring special software or interface tools. Its unique Smoke Dial™ display provides an immediate visual indication of a smoke event, even from a distance. In the event of a fault, opening the field service door and using the Instant Fault Finder quickly identifies the issue, allowing service personnel to attend fully prepared.
Ultrasonic Flow Sensing
The VLF-250 uses patent-pending Ultrasonic Flow Sensing to directly measure sampling pipe airflow. This technology is unaffected by changes in air temperature, pressure, or contamination, making the VLF the first air-sampling smoke detector to implement ultrasonic flow measurement.
