Vesda Xtralis VLI-880 LaserINDUSTRIAL Detector with Relays & Ethernet
The VESDA VLI-880 by Xtralis is a pioneering early warning aspirating smoke detector (ASD) designed for heavy industrial environments with harsh or dusty conditions, covering areas up to 2000 m² (20,000 sq. ft.). Unlike traditional ASDs, the VLI enables very early smoke detection in challenging, high-contamination settings without sacrificing reliability or sensitivity.
Advanced Detection Technology
The VLI incorporates a fail-safe Intelligent Filter (patent pending) and an advanced clean-air barrier to protect the optics. This allows for absolute smoke detection, long detection chamber life, and minimal recalibration requirements. The Intelligent Filter reduces particulate contamination before air enters the detection chamber, while continuously monitoring itself to ensure consistent sensitivity throughout the detector’s operational life.

IP54-rated enclosure protects against dust ingress and water splashes, often eliminating the need for costly external housings.
Powerful aspirator supports a total pipe length of 360 m (1,200 ft.) across up to four inlet pipes.
AutoLearn™ commissioning assistant optimizes alarm and flow thresholds, reducing setup time and enhancing reliability.
Fully supported by Xtralis ASPIRE², VSC, and VSM4 software for pipe network design, commissioning, and maintenance.
Standard BACnet over Ethernet connectivity enables integration with building management systems (BMS) and automation platforms, reducing installation and monitoring costs.
