The Fireray® 3000 Exd consists of a Transmitter Unit that projects a modulated infrared light beam to a Receiver Unit. The Receiver analyses the received signal, and if smoke is present for a predetermined period, a fire condition is triggered. A Control Unit, located within a 100-metre cable run of the Receiver, allows low-level installation and provides diagnostic capabilities. The system conforms to BS 5839 Part 5.

Applications:
The Fireray® 3000 Exd is specifically designed to protect large areas in potentially explosive atmospheres from smoke and fire. It can be integrated with a conventional fire alarm control panel via a zone connection or interfaced with an analogue addressable system using an addressable input module or zone monitor module. When combined with a battery-backed power supply, it provides reliable, continuous protection for hazardous environments.
