The Fireray® 3000 Exd consists of a Transmitter Unit that emits a modulated infrared light beam to a Receiver Unit. The Receiver analyses the signal, and if smoke is detected for a predetermined period, a fire condition is triggered. A Control Unit, installed within a 100-metre cable run of the Receiver, enables low-level installation and provides diagnostic capabilities. The system is fully compliant with BS 5839 Part 5.

Applications:
The Fireray® 3000 Exd is designed to protect large areas with potentially explosive atmospheres against smoke and fire. It can be integrated with a conventional fire alarm control panel via a zone connection, or with an analogue addressable system through an addressable input module or zone monitor module. When paired with a battery-backed power supply, it provides reliable and continuous fire detection in hazardous environments.
