The 4-Way Relay Unit is designed for use with both conventional and addressable fire alarm or extinguishing systems, allowing key maintenance to be carried out without compromising safety.
This unit provides a simple means of isolating third-party systems—such as HVAC, security, or access control—connected to the fire alarm system. This ensures that maintenance or repairs can be performed on the fire alarm system without affecting the operation of the connected equipment. Volt-free contacts allow safe switching of both high and low voltage circuits.
The unit contains four double-pole relays:
Three relays rated for high-current switching: 240 VAC 7 A, 110 VAC 10 A, 24 VDC 10 A
One relay rated for low-current switching: 125 VAC 0.5 A, 30 VDC 2 A
All relays are housed in a robust sheet steel enclosure. They can be activated via switch-negative signals from up to four control panels. Isolation of each relay is achieved using simple slide switches, with LEDs clearly indicating the isolation status of each relay.
