Quality, reliability, ease of use, and a rich feature set are consistent across the entire Haes range of fire alarm control panels. As Haes’ entry-level panel, the Eclipse embodies these qualities while offering a flexible solution suitable for a wide range of applications.
Designed with the fire alarm engineer in mind, the Eclipse helps minimise installation and maintenance costs. The enclosure provides generous space for wiring and battery replacement, along with clear visual indicators for straightforward servicing. Panel access is controlled via keyswitch or access code, ensuring engineers can always operate the system, while the one-man walk test function significantly reduces routine maintenance time.
Ease of use was a key consideration for end users. Colour-coded controls and a simple three-step silence operation give non-technical users the confidence to manage the system correctly. The Eclipse is unique among entry-level panels in offering false alarm management, with programmable options requiring secondary confirmation before the system enters full alarm. This functionality aligns with Fire and Rescue Service initiatives to support alarm verification via Alarm Receiving Centres.
The panel provides two or four fire zone circuits and two monitored sounder circuits as standard. Additional features include Fire and Fault VFCO relays, Fire and Fault switched negative outputs, class change and alert inputs. Fire zone outputs can be configured as ‘Twin Wire’ via DIL switch selection; when operating in Twin Wire mode, compatible detector bases and manual call points must be used. Eclipse panels are fully approved to European Standards EN54-2 and EN54-4 for Fire Detection and Fire Alarm Systems – Control and Indicating Equipment.
