The TwinflexPro2 is an intelligent 2-wire fire alarm control panel that uses a conventional-style cabling format. Due to its system architecture, it is classified as analogue non-addressable, with field devices communicating with the control panel via the Twinflex data protocol.
Available in 2, 4, and 8 zone variants, the TwinflexPro2 supports up to 32 Twinflex devices per zone. The panel can identify and distinguish between alarms from smoke detectors, heat detectors, and manual call points, providing clearer alarm information and faster response.
System Monitoring & Outputs
Each zone is continuously monitored for detector head removal, device faults, end-of-line (EOL) faults, and open or short circuit conditions.
The panel provides:
2 × monitored outputs configurable as conventional sounder circuits
1 × volt-free common fire relay
1 × volt-free common fault relay
2 × multifunction latching/non-latching inputs
1 × monitored input programmable for functions such as Class Change and Remote Fire
An integral power supply is included, requiring 2 × 12V 3.2Ah batteries to provide up to 72 hours standby time.
Configuration & Flexibility
The TwinflexPro2 features a 500-event log, day/night mode, alarm confirmation, and programmable alarm delays. Configuration can be carried out via the on-board keypad or through PC-driven OSP software.
Originally compatible only with Fike Twinflex devices, the system now offers greater flexibility. With the addition of a conventional zone card, 4 and 8 zone panels can be configured to accept conventional devices on zones 5 to 8.
Simplified Wiring
Unlike most conventional fire alarm systems that require separate wiring for detector zones and sounder circuits, the Twinflex system uses a single 2-core screened cable per zone. This allows both detection devices and sounders to operate on the same circuit when Twinflex devices are used, significantly reducing installation time and cabling requirements.
