The 712H is a fixed-temperature heat detector classified as category A1S. The A1 rating indicates a static response temperature between 54°C and 65°C (EN54-5), while the “S” suffix means the detector will not trigger at lower temperatures, even with rapid air temperature increases.
Part of the 700 series, the 712H is designed for conventional two-wire detection systems, where detectors are typically connected in zones. Each detector samples the surrounding air every five seconds, and if a fire condition is detected, a signalling current is drawn from the zone to trigger an alarm response from the Control and Indicating Equipment (fire alarm panel) for that zone.
