The Series 65 Base is designed to allow detectors to be installed without applying force, making it particularly convenient for suspended ceiling applications. Each base features a ‘one-way only’ fit, and detectors can be securely locked into place using a 1.5 mm hexagonal grub screw.
Operation:
The bases measure 100 mm in diameter and include five clearly marked terminals: Line 1 in, Line 1 out, Line 2 in, Line 2 out, remote indicator negative, and earth. Detectors are polarity-insensitive, so positive and negative lines only need to be identified when a remote LED is installed. An earth connection is not required for the detector’s operation or safety.
The earth terminal is provided for neat termination of earthed conductors or cable screens and to maintain earth continuity where needed. The wide interior diameter of the base allows easy access to cables and terminals. Two fixing slots accommodate screw spacing from 51 to 69 mm. Detectors engage with the base in a single orientation and are fitted by a clockwise rotation without applying push force.
