EN54-3/23/17 C-3-8 Ceiling VAD, Shallow Base, White

The BF458A/CX/SW is a compact, addressable, loop-powered visual alarm device (VAD) in white, designed for XP95/Discovery protocol systems and compatible with C-TEC XFP and ZFP panels. It can be wall or ceiling mounted, providing flexible light distribution for indoor fire alarm applications.

Light Distribution

• Wall mount: W-3-3.1 — min. 0.4 lux over a 3 × 8 m cuboid area

• Ceiling mount: C-3-8 — min. 0.4 lux over a 2.4 × 3.5 m cylindrical area

Functionality

Part of C-TEC’s Compact addressable device range, which includes sounders, VADs, and combined sounder-VADs. These devices:

• Visually and audibly alert building occupants of a fire

• Feature low current consumption with high-efficiency VADs

• Offer seven selectable volume levels and 15 selectable tone pairs

• Include a built-in short-circuit loop isolator

• Allow independent operation of sounder and VAD (panel-dependent)
