All Lexicomm Emergency Voice Communications Systems (EVCS) are fully compliant with BS 5839-9:2021, supporting use as a fire telephone system (FT), disabled refuge system (DRS), or a combined system where both are required.
The LX228 repeater station is a self-contained enclosure housing a master handset. It is microprocessor-controlled, visually identical to the LX228 master station, and can manage up to 8 lines. Lines auto-identify by flashing red for EVCS calls, blue for assist calls, or green for connected calls, as specified in BS 5839-9:2021.
Assist calls can be acknowledged via the zone key (meeting BS 8300 requirements) and will return to alarm if not reset within two minutes. A maximum of one repeater station can be connected to a ViLX-228 master station, with no additional configuration required.
The unit requires 1 × 12V 7Ah VRSLA battery for 24-hour standby operation.
