The C-TEC BF562-5 is a high-performance, regulated 24V DC power supply designed for fire alarm and security applications. Combining a switch-mode power supply, battery charger and battery monitoring unit in one metal enclosure, it delivers a rated output of 5A to support auxiliary equipment requiring a dependable power source.
Certified to EN54-4/A2 by LPCB and VdS, the unit incorporates comprehensive fault monitoring and indication, helping maintenance personnel identify supply failures, battery problems and charger faults. A volt-free changeover relay switches in response to fault conditions, allowing faults to be communicated to compatible monitoring equipment.
The power supply features selectable battery charging currents, battery impedance monitoring, mains failure simulation and an integrated temperature sensor, with provision for an optional remote sensor. Its configurable settings can be adjusted using the C-TEC BF423 configurator to suit specific installation requirements.
Typical applications include powering beam detectors, aspirating smoke detectors, automatic opening vent systems, auxiliary sounders and other equipment performing essential functions within fire alarm installations. The unit also incorporates electronic functions compliant with EN50131-6 security system requirements for Grades 1–4.
