The Sigma K04400M2 is a sounder controller PCB housed in a steel enclosure, designed for use with 230V DC power sources. It is compatible with Kentec Sigma CP control panels running software version V3.0 or above.
This board provides 8 additional sounder outputs, configurable as zoned, 2-stage, or common alarm, and all outputs are open- and short-circuit monitored. Any fault on the sounder outputs is reported to the main fire alarm panel as a sounder fault.
A class change input allows all sounder outputs to be activated when triggered by a volt-free contact.
Mains-powered units require only a two-core data cable from the main control panel, while 24V DC versions require an additional two-core supply rated to handle the total sounder load. 230V DC versions include a dedicated power supply capable of driving sounder loads up to 5.25 A.
Up to 7 sounder boards can be connected to a single control panel, each assigned a unique address (1–7) via a binary-coded DIL switch. Boards can be connected to the Sigma CP serial bus alongside ancillary boards and Sigma CP-R repeater panels. The maximum cable length from the main panel to the last repeater is 1200 metres, and any disconnection is reported as a fault at the main panel.
