The Intrinsically Safe (I.S.) Indoor Call Points are designed to protect against hazardous environments, in accordance with paragraph 1.2.7 of Annex II of the ATEX Directive 94/9/EC. They are intended for use within Intrinsically Safe systems using suitable I.S. barriers. For a list of compatible barriers, see the reverse of the documentation.
Designed with installation efficiency, flexibility, and compliance in mind, the new MCP range significantly reduces installation time and cost. Each unit features a ‘plug & play’ terminal block, where all cabling is terminated during initial installation. The terminal block then simply connects to the back of the call point—no re-termination required, saving time and reducing errors.
The MCP range offers complete flexibility in operation: units can be configured as either break glass or resettable call points by simply swapping the operating element—no additional parts or alternative products are needed.
These call points also maintain system integrity: any illegal removal of the product lid triggers the device, causing the system to go into alarm.
The MCP1A version provides both a resistor and normally open clean contact electrical option, easily connected via the terminal block. Standard resistor options include 470 Ω and 680 Ω, with other values available on request. The MCP1B version supports connection to ‘Savwire’ systems.
